How do I convince my mom to let me have her new digital camera? I have a 4 megapixel Kodak digital camera but my mom just got a 10 megapixel Panasonic digital camera as a late Christmas present. She doesn't take pictures like I do, and she doesn't need the extra megapixels like I do. I really want the new one and she knows that I've wanted a new camera for a while now, but she just won't trade. How do I convince her?

Can anyone recommend a 2 gb SD memory card for my new digital camera? I will be purchasing a new Canon Powershot S5 camera shortly (my first decent digital camera). I need to get an SD memory card, and I'd like 2 gb of storage. Can using a 'Generic' battery in my new Digital Camera damage it? I just bought a digital camera that uses a Canon Brand Li-ion battery. Aparantly, it lasts about 160 pictures with flash, which seems good! But the bad thing about rechargable batteries is if you run out of charge, you can't just go to the nearest store and buy some more. So I want to get an extra one or two for when I'm on vacation. Buying the replacment bettery from Canon is $70.00 plus shipping. I can find generic brands for SOOO much less, and they say that they're compatible with my camera. I'm worried about the chance that they could break or damage my camera, as well as if I can use my charger for the new generic battery. Has anyone used generic batteries for their camera, and if so, did they work okay? I'm torn because AA batteries in other cameras don't damage them even if you buy a cheap brand, but is it the same with specialized batteries... I'm not sure! My camera doesn't use AA or AAA, it uses a specialized Li-ion battery, looks like cracker, kind of, in shape.

Getting a new digital camera? I've had my digital camera for about four years. It's a canon and when i first got it, it was just for recreational use. What would the best NImH AA rechargeable batteries for my new digital camera be? I just bought a Samsung SL30 and it came with two regular AA batteries. They recommend using NImH batteries. The first digital camera I bought was a Kodak DX4530 in 2005 and it used NImH batteries, too, but they were connected. Those batteries lasted 1,000 charges. Digital camera shows low battery with new batteries? I have a Kodak DX6440 digital camera. I just put new batteries that were fully charged in it and it shows low battery. I know the batteries are ok because they just came off the charger, I tried 2 others just to make sure it wasn't defective batteries but it's still doing it. What video editing software do you recommend I buy to go with my new digital camera? I have just purchased a Fuji F31FD digital camera and would like video editing software to go with it: the movie mode is clearly basic but I would like to see what I can do.
