How can I convince my mom to get a new camera?
My mom has this camera that is like 5 years old and it is malfunctioning. The flash goes off at random times and it randomly shows the date on pictures. She says "It's not malfunctioning, your just messing up everything." How do get her out of denial and get her to get a new camera?

- save up money and tell her you'll pay for it
- tell her that they wont be selling anymore accessories for that camera
- The age of the camera isn't important. It sounds as if it has been damaged somehow. How it was damaged and who did it? I have no idea. You can get a really good digital for under $200. Get one for her for a birthday or Christmas.
- study well, show your good marks to her and try to save money and she will be convinced.tried to help.if doesn't work sorry .
- save up money and tell her you'll pay for it And, let her take 20-30 shots to see how it works. Then again, just because it's five years old doesn't mean it's junk. YOU take 20-30 shots right in front of her and show her how it doesn't work. Maybe she would notice something that you're doing wrong...
- well, you can put it in her face, and show her exactly what's happening with the camera, and tell her that it's five years old, and those cameras weren't meant to last that long, which is exaggerated to some degree, but hold true in some situations. Tell her, that for the money she payed for that one five years ago, could buy a more recent, and up-to-date, one with more resolution and features. Tell her that time is progressing, and it doesn't make sense for her to remain in denial with her camera. Just print some prices from : http://amazon.com they have alot of cheap cameras. And just sit her down, and see if she like them, but if she doens't , there's nothing more you can really do. Afterall, it's her money paying for it, not yours. So no matter what, her final decision will go. oh, and don't nag her, that's just be annoying, and she'll worse not consider it. Just talk once every few days, and she'll ease into it gradually.
