How do I convince my mom and dad to buy me a new camera?
I really really want a new camera but I need to convince my parents to buy it for me. How do I do that?

- Stop relying on your parents. Get a job and buy your own!
- GET A JOB AND BUY IT YOUR DAMN SELF!
- Get a job and buy one yourself. And if you think you're too young, I was working at 11 years old and bought my own tv after saving for about a year.
- Mom, dad, say hello to my gun. I named it: "Buy me a new freakin camera now!"
- show them that you are responsible...ask for it for your birthday or Christmas...otherwise you should get a job (that shows responsibility) and buy it yourself.
- start acting really depressed and say its the only way youll be happy again, i saw it on some tv show so you know its consequence free
- Get a part time job or Mow some lawns if you're too young and buy it yourself, it will teach you to be independent
- steal one then blame it on your parents not buying one for you
- I guess you better start saving our money then. Maybe after you have a certian amount saved..they will consider throwing some money in with or or "matching."
- Accidentally break your old one.
- How about you get a job and show them you are trying to obtain your own materials.
- do the dishes, wash the cars, mop the house, feed the dog, vacuum their room, and theeen get a job
- Get a job. Earn the $$$ yourself.
- Maybe you can help out around the house, or get a job and buy it yourself.
- Tell them how much you love them and appreciate them, and that you really need the camera. Say that you'll help around the house more often and that your'e doing well in school. Hopefully they'll buy that, and buy you a camera. If not, save up and buy your own. If you are independent, you will gain your paren'ts respect.
- i waited till my birthday and got it because it was in may liike where mothers day is so i got one on sale becuase it had been returned but everywhere you see them point it out look on ebay and tell them you just need help paying for it.....that you will help out too. it worked for me.
- ask for it for christmas or your birthday or something like that also try to raise the money yur self,
- Everytime they look at you say CHEESE and smile!!Then say hint hint. They start coughing the word CAMERA CAMERA.
- Get a job. They don't have to buy you a new camera just because you want one. If you are too young for a job, ask your parents what you can do around the house to earn money to buy your camera. Maybe if you save up half of the money, they wont have a problem pitching in the other half. But, don't just expect them to get it for you. That makes you sound like a spoiled brat.
- Show your parents that you are interested in photography.
- you can say you "broke" your old one by "accident" , then they wont have a choice but to get another one for you.
- be extra nice to them and try to do ur regular chores and then some, if u have siblings u can offer to babysit while they go for a night out or u can wash their car, clean ur room, etc then after that maybe about a week or so u can say i really want a new camera do u think i have been good enough lately for u to get me one? u could also offer that if they buy it now and u start working u can pya it off then..good luck.
- i would get a part time job or save your allowance until you have half of the camera's cost. approach your parents and let them know this means a lot to you and you've been saving your money but the camera you want costs too much. show them you have 1/2 the money and ask them to help with the rest. That's how i got my first car
- simply make a list of pro's and con's. Leave out some of the cons if you want to. Also find one that is very affordable. You probably don't need 7.2 mega-pixels, some of the older models if you can find them should work for ya. Find one for around 150 or under and they will probably consider it.
- Oh. I don't know about that one. I just had to convince my parents to let me buy my own camera. But I'd try something about "Helping my future." or... "It's a good hobbie to get into."
- Well, If your in school, you should tell them it would help you with class projects. Or maybe you could tell them that you are really interested in photography, and that a new camera would be a great investment. Tell them that they have digital cameras at walmart that are made by kodak for as low as 88 dollars sometimes, and there nice( I have one ;) or just save your money... they really arent that expensive.
- scan all your old pics and a couple family albums and organize them on your computer. Show them the advantages of digital photos and how having them on your computer is more permanent and accesible. When you finish archiving, play them some nice slideshows of old pics you restored.
- Hide it, say that someone stole it at the mall, tell them that you need a camera for some reason.. school project or whatever.. Get a job or just tell them that you want a new one, that you're gonna sell it and need some money to pay the difference
- i'll buy you one if you meet me on myspcase....... lol talk your dad into buying your mom one then take or old one, or the new one when shes not using it
- Chores
- You would be better off working for the money to buy it for yourself. I don't know your age but I've always thought that anything worth having was worth working for. If you are too young for an after-school job,you can always earn money doing chores about the house or for TRUSTED neighbors. When your parents see how serious you are about this, they might even chip in to help you out.
- Do you have a camera already that's in good working condition? If so, then you should save money to get a new one yourself. If not, then ask your parents if there's something you could do for them in exchange for them buying you a new camera. Give them the reasons you want one, but don't say it's because everyone else has one (that never works). You could say it would be helpful for school projects or something like that. Figure out a way to earn money also, to help pay for it. But if your parents say no anyway, just accept it and wait until you have enough of your own money to get one.
- This question has come up before. My favorite answer to date, by someone much wiser than myself, is to say that you'll use the camera to take family snapshots... When you're all old and gray, you'll have drinks together, look at those pictures again, and take a stroll down memory lane.
- Try offering to pay for part of it and/or suggest that you can sell your old camera online and use the proceeds to help pay for the new camera. Also, find out exactly what camera you want, search for bargains and let them know. Finally, discuss with them why you want a new camera, what features you are looking for, and how that will help you with expressing your creativity. If your birthday is coming up, let them know you would appreciate receiving that for your birthday. If your parents have a tight budget, or if you've received a lot of presents lately, you might want to hold off until Christmas. If you're in school, studying extra hard might not hurt.
- Tell them that it will keep you off the streets at night. Tell them that a digital camera doesn't need film, so once you buy it - it's free to use.
- Well if you saved up your allowance...or saved money from a part time job...to show them you could contribute to some or most of the cost (that might convince them) Or wait till its your birthday or Xmas... Just because you want something, doesn't automatically mean you should get it. Your parents probably have had to work hard most of their lives just to pay for food, things they have already bought you (clothing, mp3 player, etc etc)...or a mortgage...and you should learn that some things just can't be bought...they must be earned.
- You should try finding a camera at a discount price. E-bay for example. I don't know, but my parents are persuaded more easily when they know that I'm buying something at a bargain.
- if you have enough time to browse the web for an answer you should know already, then you have time to go to monster.com to look for a job to get your camera.
