Digital camera does not power up even with new batteries - what is diagnosis & solution?
I own a DSC-P52 Sony digital camera which runs on 2 standard alkaline AA batteries. I put in two new batteries in the camera. The camera powered up and showed full charge. But within a few clicks and 5-7 mins later, the camera shut down as if there was no juice left in the batteries. It did not start up again. I tried with different batteries (not new but operating other devices). Still doesnt work. Any idea what this problem could be?

- Looks like either bad batteries or your camera died.
- Dirty or corroded battery contacts in the camera.
- sounds dead
- I think camera is the problem, check with Sony service center..
- Lots of possibilities such as bad camera or bad battery contacts. Have you tried using a rechargeable NiMH batteries? Most camera requires you to use NiMH batteries instead of regular alkaline. If it still didn't work, bring it to a camera store so people can look it up.
