Camera New

What do I do with a new camera lens I cannot return?

I have a new lens that was incompatible with my camera. I only took it out of the box to try it on, and found out that it will not work. We got it at Circuit City's going out of business sale, and unfortunately all sales are final. I tried looking it up on ebay to see if the prices were comparable, but I couldn't find one like it. Is there anything else I can do with it? Thanks

  1. Tell us what lens it is and we can be of more help. Considering it is a new lens you should have no problem selling it on Ebay or Craigslist. There may be an adapter available but I would recommend you don't go this route. With an adapter you will lose auto focus and probably metering as well. Remember in the future that only lenses by your camera manufacturer or third party lenses made to fit your camera will work. Lenses are not interchangeable between brands. Canon wont fit Nikon, Nikon wont fit Canon etc.
  2. FIRST WHAT KIND OF LENS IS IT, AND WHAT CAMERA IS IT FOR WHAT DOSE IT SAY ON THE FRONT OF THE LENS
