How can I adjust my new LG 20" monitor to make the screen and camcorder movies not look so "scrunched"?

I changed to view size 125% --and tried 150% but that makes everything too large. People on the monitor screen look wider than they actually are. That is no joke. HA. I know there had to be some method of fixing that.

1. Right click on your desktop and select "Properties" on the bottom of the list that pops up. Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the box. Adjust the Screen Resolution slider and follow the prompts until your screen looks correct. You simply do not have the correct resolution for that size monitor.
