How am I supposed to upload DV camcorder footage to new Macbook?
It doesn't have a firewire port. And it's not possible to upload it with USB.

- There is a long not so interesting answer to your question and a short one. I will give you the short one, No... This is due to the two different standards at play and it is unfortunate that Apple didn't foresee that their users might be connecting FireWire cameras to their MacBooks, especially since they bundle the MacBook with iMovie. What you can do about it. There is a experimental solution out there using a Pixela PIX-UVCD/U1W converter cable. The only drawback is that it has a converter chip, the PIX-MC20, that creates MPEG video from the DV and it is only for NTSC. Essentially you don't get true DV transfer, but reports claim it works. The other options is to try to hook your MacBook to a USB/FireWire External Hard Drive and use it as a bridge for your Camera. Some reports claim this works as well.
