Camera New

I need a new digital camera.... any suggestions on one that is good quality?

I want to buy a new digital camera, but I don't want to spend more than $300. I want a camera that is durable and takes really good, clear pictures. I take pictures all the time in all settings and conditions, so a camera with different settings would be ideal. Any suggestions would be very helpful!! :)

1. I'm sure it's not the only camera that would fit your needs, but I love-love-love my Canon Powershot SD450. It's very small, literally fits in the pocket (and gets lost in a large purse or backpack). I bought an extra large-capacity chip for it. Last year we vacationed in a place that demanded pictures, and I didn't fill the big chip--and I didn't need to recharge the camera's battery, either.

3. Since you want a camera that's durable, I'd recommend getting a waterproof camera like the Pentax Optio W30. Get a tripod too.
