Camera New

I want to buy a new SLR camera, whats the best one for me?

Right now I have a Sony SLR (Model: DSC-H5) but I feel I've outgrown it and that it's holding me back, I want to get a much better camera with lots of manual settings and definatly digital. And something that won't bankrupt me neither =]

  1. Just remember that the camera body is only part of the DSLR story. The entry level models are designed to be easier to use, while equipping them with quality lenses will ensure the are capable of taking stunning photos. By the time you have outgrown the entry level body it will probably be time to update to a new generation of DSLR's. This should still use all you lenses and accessories, making them a more of of along term investment than the camera body. As to which brand, well they are all good. The competition is so fierce a dud model quickly dies. A lot of it is personal preference, often down to the way it feels in your hands.
  2. my suggestion go to yahoo shopping digital cameras digital camera GUIDE be sure to check titles on the left side the guide should answer your questions
  3. You have a few low-cost options: 1) Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens 2) Pentax K100D Super with 18-55mm lens 3) Canon EOS Rebel XT with 18-55mm lens 4) Olympus E-410 digital SLR. All of these should be at/under $500 (with the possible exception of the Canon). That's about as low as it goes. Over time, you'll end up getting lenses and a flash and other accessories.
  4. Canon Rebel XT.
